Jammu, February 02 (KNO) : Jammu Muslim Front on Saturday expressed its hope with the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jammu so that he can solve the long standing demands of Jammu Muslims, which were never given heed. “It is expected that Modi will listen and consider demands of Jammu Muslims who have been deprived of facilities whether it is jobs, development or political representation. The leaderless community remained behind the country, but they were never recognized. It is appealed that government must come forward to give a hope and fulfill the just demands of Jammu Muslims,” JMF said in a statement issued to KNO. JMF demanded re-organization and strengthening of Auqaf for the benefit of Muslim Community in the State. “The properties under illegal occupation should be retrieved and given to the poor Muslims,’ they added. Front demanded ownership rights on the Custodian properties. “Being a Muslim majority of the country, we demand, Hajj quota for Jammu and Kashmir State should be more than any other states in India,” they said. Front demanded jobs for the locals of Jammu in central educational institutions in the State, and reservation for Jammu Muslims in recruitments.(KNO)
